This cracked wheel repair service is for you if:
It’s also a strong fit for trade customers who need safe repairs and clear communication.
Not every crack should be repaired. Location, size, and signs of fatigue matter. We inspect first and tell you clearly whether repair is suitable or if replacement is the safer choice.
Where it is safe and suitable, cracked wheel repairs are typically completed using a controlled welding process, then checked for air seal and alignment.
We’re known for quality workmanship, clean presentation, and managing expectations so you know exactly what’s happening to your wheels.
How the service works:
We inspect the crack location and severity and check for signs of fatigue or previous repairs. If the crack is in a high-risk area, we’ll advise replacement.
Tyre, valve, and sensors are removed as needed. The area around the crack is cleaned back to bare metal so the repair bonds properly.
Where the wheel is suitable, we repair the crack professionally (typically TIG welding), building the material back so it can be shaped accurately.
The repair area is dressed back smoothly. We re-check the wheel and advise if straightening is needed.
The wheel is tested to confirm it holds air properly before it leaves the workshop.
If the cosmetic finish is affected, we can refinish the wheel (powder coating, diamond cutting, or refurbishment depending on the wheel type).

DCA Refinishing is solely owner-run, with a safety-first approach and clear expectations.
Common signs include slow pressure loss, repeated punctures on the same tyre, or a crack spotted during an MOT or tyre change.
No. Some cracks are too high risk depending on location and severity. We inspect first and only repair wheels that are suitable.
Yes. We test the wheel to confirm the repair holds air properly.
A repair restores integrity in the repaired area, but it won’t be the same as an undamaged wheel. That’s why inspection and suitability checks matter.
