What Happens to Your Wheels?
With our mobile alloy wheel refurbishment service, we come to your home or workplace and carry out the refurbishment there.
You don’t need to take your car to a workshop or arrange to leave it with us. Where your wheels are suitable for mobile refurbishment, we bring the equipment needed to repair and refinish them to you.
For diamond cut wheels, this is what happens.

Inspection & Wheel removal
Before starting any work, we check the condition of each wheel and the damage that needs repairing.
We look at the depth of the damage, corrosion, cracks or bends and whether the wheel has been diamond cut previously.
This allows us to check that the wheel is suitable for mobile refurbishment before we begin.

Wheel Removal & Preparation
Once we’re happy that the wheel is suitable for repair, we jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel.
The wheel is thoroughly cleaned and the tyre is deflated. We move the tyre away from the edge of the wheel so we can properly work on the damaged area.
The wheel is then prepared, smoothed and carefully masked ready for repair.

Damage repair
Kerb marks, scratches and gouges are repaired and smoothed out.
This prepares the damaged areas for the new finish and diamond cutting process.

Repainting the base colour
The painted areas of the wheel are repainted in the correct colour before diamond cutting begins.
This restores the combination of painted areas and bright metal that gives diamond cut wheels their distinctive two-tone appearance.

Diamond cutting
The wheel is secured onto the specialist CNC diamond cutting lathe in our mobile workshop.
We first check the wheel for buckling before scanning its shape with the machine.
We then check that the scanned profile is correct before the machine carefully removes very small amounts from the face of the wheel until the damage has been removed.

Lacquer coating
Once the diamond cutting is complete, a clear lacquer is applied directly to the metal.
This protects the newly cut surface and helps protect it against corrosion and oxidation.

Curing and finishing
The coating is cured using heat lamps or allowed to air dry.
The wheel is then polished and checked to make sure we’re happy with the finished result.

Wheel Refitting
The tyre is inflated to the correct pressure and dressed before the wheel is fitted back onto your vehicle.
The wheel nuts are then tightened to the correct torque setting.

The Result
Your wheels are refurbished at your home or workplace, without you needing to take your car to a workshop.
For diamond cut wheels, damaged areas are repaired, the painted sections are restored and the diamond cut face is recreated and protected with clear lacquer.

Absolutely over the moon with the refurb Bryan at DCA did on my OEM 437M wheels. From start to finish the service was spot on. Very friendly guy, excellent workmanship, great comms throughout and you can tell he genuinely cares about the quality of his work. I went for the ferric grey and diamond cut finish and the wheels have come out looking absolutely stunning — better than I expected. The finish is clean, consistent and OEM+ quality. I couldn’t be happier with the transformation that Bryan has achieved with my Audi A7 wheels. They were 11 years old, curb rashed, paint peeling and generally looking very sad. Now they’re absolutely mint plus the colour transition from standard grey to satin black makes them pop - just gotta get some new black centre caps to match now. Is wet paint better than powder coating?
It depends on what you need. Wet paint is often chosen for faster turnaround and colour matching. Powder coating is a different process and may suit other jobs better. We’ll advise based on your wheels and the finish you want.
How long does it take?
Same-day service is possible on some jobs. Timing depends on wheel condition and what’s needed. We’ll confirm once we’ve seen photos.
Will the finish last?
Longevity comes from prep and proper materials. We focus on doing it properly, then sealing it with clear lacquer for protection.
Can you repair bad kerb damage?
In many cases, yes. If the damage is too severe, we’ll tell you what’s realistic before you book.
